Why did you join
A Career Choice?
I attended other networking events but found
there was no value-added at the meetings. The
room was full but none were potential clients
and I had no real opportunity to speak to
people.
A Career Choice structures its meetings
so I leave each and every meeting with a
benefit. The experts that speak at the events
provide practical insights that allow me to do a
better job and obtain more business. The meeting
coordinator gives each attendee a real
opportunity to discuss their businesses and
their perfect clients. Most importantly, the
meetings are always different. Other networking
groups hold the same meeting each and every
week. After two meetings, I felt compelled to
joining.
How has Membership helped you?
In 3 significant ways: (1) I work for a small
company and it is difficult for me to get
clients and compete with larger competitors. The
meetings help me change my sales pitches and
tighten my casual conversation. Now when I meet
potential clients, the size of the company is no
longer an issue. (2) The meeting coordinators
actually care about their members. I couldn't
believe it but when I first joined

Choice, my meeting coordinator called me to
learn more about my business and what kind of
referrals I needed. She spent approximately 15
minutes with me on the phone. At the next
meeting, she handed me a referral out of her
very own rolodex. (3) Membership comes with a

of coaching for entrepreneurs and there is no
hard sell to buy. I found the coaching so
insightful that I ended up purchasing 5

What do you do?
I am payroll compliance auditor for Marshall &
Moss, CPAs. I help ensure that pension and
health premiums that are deducted from a
person's paycheck are forwarded in a timely
fashion to the pension and health plans. I also
make sure that the amount of the premiums are
accurate. If there are errors, I liaise with
attorneys so that the money is adjusted. Our
offices are located in New York, NY, Long Island
City, NY and Westbury, NY. We are generally
retained by collectively bargained plans for
payroll audits.
